Shrooms Dosage Overview

Let’s consider different shrooms dosage and their potential impact on your body.

• 0.1 to 0.5 grams of psilocybe cubensis. Generally known as microdosing, this range is standard during therapeutic treatments. This shrooms dosage isn’t enough to create a “high,” but only minimal acute drug effects that can help long-term.
• 1 gram of psilocybe cubensis (~10 mg psilocybin). A low shrooms dosage, 1 gram still produces some effects such as euphoria and the enhancement of all senses
• 1.75 grams of psilocybe cubensis (~17.5 mg psilocybin). A medium shrooms dosage, known to produce some hallucinogenic effects (mostly visual and sensory) and stronger euphoria
• 3.5 grams of psilocybe cubensis (~35 mg psilocybin). A high shrooms dosage with strong visual and sensory distortions which may bring on mind-blowing effects and synesthesia (blending of the senses)
• 5 grams of psilocybe cubensis (~50 mg psilocybin). The “heroic shrooms dosage,” 5 grams of shrooms typically brings the full depth of a mushroom trip experience. The term comes from American ethnobotanist Terrence McKenna, an advocate for the use of psychedelics. Taking this high shrooms dosage is extremely rare, with side effects being things like a complete loss of control and losing the grasp of reality.

Tripping guidelines:

As psychedelics with the ability to heal the mind and spirit, magic mushrooms need to be treated with respect and refrain from abusing the power they possess. Always be responsible. Here are some useful tips when tripping on shrooms.

• If you’re tripping for the first time, it’s best to have a trip sitter nearby. A trip sitter will remain sober and watch over you to help out in the event of an emergency.
• Start on a smaller dose "baby steps". Level 1 - 6. Do not exceed the recommended dose. A two day tolerance break is recommended between trips.
• Set & Setting: Quite simply, the “set” is your mindset and the “setting” is your surroundings. Making sure that you’re in the right frame of mind, with the right people, and in a good environment, can literally make or break your trip. Taking the set and setting into consideration can drastically increase the probability of having a good experience.
• Recommended to have on an empty stomach.
• Don’t mix shrooms with any other substances even if you are an experienced tripper. Especially alcohol and highly caffeinated drinks.
• Drink a lot of water after the trip to help flush the psilocybin out of your system and to be able to return to your day-to-day self much quicker.
